Spring Break Basketball Camps
VGBA will once again host Spring Break Camps for girls at John Oliver Secondary.
Like past years, there are two camps:
March 8 to 11, 2010 (Monday to Thursday)
Grade 7 & 8 9:00 am – 11:00 am $25.00
Grade 9 to 11 11:30 am – 2:30 pm $30.00
This camp will provide an opportunity for basketball players to come together to work on individual skills development as well as team play. It will sharpen players for spring basketball tryouts and identification camps. The program combines skill building and scrimmages in four sessions.
Bring a basketball, reversible top, and a water bottle!
Note: Each secondary school has five spots max. There is a max capacity of 60 players for each camp. Adjustments will be made at a later date if needed. Form and payment due BEFORE Spring Break.
Spring League
We would like to once again run a Spring League.
April – May, 2010 (Tuesday & Wednesday)
Last year, we ran from April 7 to May 27 on Tuesdays (two sites) and Wednesdays (one site). Cost was $22 per game but that may have to be adjusted. 12 schools participated. Those schools from out of Vancouver had to travel. U14 & U15 zone teams played on a limited basis. League open to players from Grades 8-11
If you are interested , please let us know the following:
Are you interested in registering a team for the VGBA Spring League?
Are you able to host at your school? If so, which nights?
Any additional suggestions? |
Please let us know ASAP. At least one school from out-of-district wants to participate but preference will be given to Vancouver schools first.
