St. Patrick’s 51      Killarney 45

Killarney jumped up early but got into a little foul trouble and STP turned on the jets using speed to close the gap and build a small mead after 3 quarters. STP led 43-37 in the final 4 minutes but Killarney battled back to tie it at 43. StP then when on a quick 8-0 to take the game.

York House 40       Crofton House 14

The Tigers jumped on the Falcons early leading 15-4 after the first quarter. The Tigers were led by the hot hand of Maggie Ching who scored 12 of the Tigers first 14 pts. CHS were missing a couple key players and never could get back intot he game losing 40-14.

3rd/4th
Britannnia 61       Crofton House 30

Slow start for both teams but Britannia picked it up and took the lead. Brit pulls away with good full court press and good defense taking a lead of 31-6 in the half. Crofton house comes out strong in the half scoring so layups quick but Brit holds on to take the game 61-30. Leading scorers were Karalee Antoine (Britannia) with 27 and Kaitlin Chow (Crofton) with 14.

1st/2nd – CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
Kitsilano 42       York House 34

York House came out strong the first half using their speed to their advantage. Lead by their guards Kristen McFarlane and Maggie Ching, York House finished the half 23-13. After the half Kits, lead by Dina Strujic, capitalized on their offensive rebounds and foul shots and were able to bridge the gap to 28-24. In the fourth quarter Kits got their first lead of the game and kept their momentum going, finishing the game 42-34. Top scorers were Michelle Ching (York House) and Dina Strujic (Kitsilano).

SENIOR GIRLS

7th/8th – Game 9
John Oliver 56       St. Patrick’s 48 OT

After a slow start in the first, St. Pat’s was up 13-7. They continue the lead with a 11 point run while John Oliver had a scoreless 2nd quarter. After a strategic time out in the third, Jo’s tempo changed. #9 Amarpreet Randhawa and #14 Dana Dayan turned the game around with aggressive drives to the hoop and good hustle defence. John Oliver came back and tied the game with a ft to push the game to overtime. JO pulled away in overtime as St Pat’s had a hard time scoring.

5th/6th – Game 10
York House 72       Magee 29

After a competitor 1st quarter, York House was up 14-9. Magee tried to keep up with the Tigers, but couldn’t score in the 2nd quarter. York pulled away with 14 point run and was up 40-12 at the half. Magee’s #13 Amanda Hui was the high scorer with 10 points while YH’s #15 Gina O’Neill had a high of 26. Despite a short bench, York House played a good game with 4 players in double digits.

3rd/4th – Game 11
Killarney 67       Churchill 65

Churchill came out strong with some quick transitional baskets but Killarney answered back with good defense. Killarney hitting a buzzer beater 3 before the half taking the lead at 26-25. With Churchill down by 15 point in the 4th, they rallied together to close the lead to 65-67 but Killarney holds on in the last 2 seconds to take the win.

1st/2nd – CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
Notre Dame 64       Britannia 32

Both Britannia and Notre Dame came out ready to compete but Notre Dame started to pull ahead through their strong offensive play and left the score 42-22 at half. Britannia fought back with good outside shooting by Jeanne d’Arc Le and strong defensive play by Julian Duong. But Notre Dame, lead by Lauren Bondi and Jolene Robinson, kept the lead for their team winning 64-32. Top scorers were Lauren Bondi (Notre Dame) and Julian Duong (Britannia).
