Former VGBA Director Named to Langara Falcons Coaching Staff

The Langara Women’s Basketball team is happy to announce the addition of Greg Eng to the Falcon coaching staff. Greg brings over 20 years of experience coaching basketball. He has coached at the club level at Strathcona Community Center and at Sir Winston Churchill Secondary and was instrumental in the revival of the girls program at Churchill. He is also an original founder of the Vancouver Girls Basketball Association, which provides opportunities and experiences for Vancouver’s female basketball players.

Greg was the Director of Community Relations and Special Projects for the City of Vancouver, including the Olympic and Paralympic Operationsfor the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. Basketball has always played a big part in Greg’s life.

His daughter Jen has taken over his duties as a co‐coach of Churchill’s Senior Girls team and his younger daughter Jesseca recently won the AA Provincial Championship with York House, and will be continuing her post secondary career at Concordia University in Montreal.
